I removed the grill blocks. I'm going to do it right and sideskirt 2 this weekend, Coasting down a big hill I travel daily It seemed to make an improvement but I want it to look cleaner.

Thanks for the advice California98Civic, but crash protection?
I have used coroplast before, mpg_numbers_guy, It works OK but seems to fail in the wet cold. I wanted a tougher material, although the plastics on my civic aren't much tougher after 20 some years.

Polymetal.

These samples were sheared, rolled and (less successfully) braked by hand using a tool with an 24" throat and 18" lever arm.

3mm thick and stiff as 5/8" plywood. It cost more than plywood but (*big* advantage) it's prefinished on both sides.

How did you attach it? With zipties it worked well for me even in rainstorms and snow. Tape won't work well on it though.

Aluminum would definitely be more durable, and look nicer if done right.

Ever thought of fiberglass?

Another possibility is 1/8th inch ABS sheet. It cuts easily and can be heat (bent? bended?).

Nice!

So far I've found air dams have really helped on my Metro/Firefly and Miata.

Strangely, it seemed to hurt on the 2004 Prius.

This confirms everything that I have read before, that Prii are weird.

I know that many of us have used lawn edging air dams, including myself, but has anyone tried to make sure it held its shape at highway speeds?
