The half hard doors are progressing to where Arcimoto is going back to determine how many sizes they need to deal with. There were changes in the production (about 3 different sizes/settings). The doors that I played with were very nice, better than my used/borrowed soft door set. Not sure how easy/feasible uppers will be to make by hand as the hard half doors do not follow the middle vertical tube between the driver and passenger, the front door hangs past the tube. The new factory is pretty big. They still have a lot of old stuff to remove. About half of the really big building will be done and 2 of the smaller buildings. It looked like duct work/vents were removed. Cement floors were sanded and sealed. Walls were washed and painted white/light grey. It is a big job to set it up. I drove through them on the rally/tour. I have video on a publicly accessed FB group. Really looking forward to them doing their own ABS vacuum forming, saw the equipment new and still on pallets. Currently you can't buy parts. Not sure what I'm going to do in 18 months when my warranty goes out and the on board chargers (OBC) are not available to purchase. I can't seem to find them for individual sale, either. The OBC seem to have a very high failure rate but are very specific to the FUV because of fit, attachment points, and current design that cools through a big heat sink that is water cooled. OBC hangs on the back side of the cooling plate while 2 inverters are attached to the front of the cooling plate.

Supplemental cooling from a desktop gaming system. Do you have 5V or 12V accessory power?

I always liked the Eagle door concept and IMHO it can be made to work. When it's open it forms a rain shield. Would you like to know more?

Nobody cares about the Eagle door concept??

$23.9K. He talks about but doesn't show a side-saddle cargo pod or something.

Arcimoto 2022 Roadmap: CEO Mark Frohnmayer Interview

2022-02-02 14:22 may see the introduction of an Arcimoto I could afford.

He opens the door to coach-built bodies on an Arcimoto glider.

The near future prospects of affordability of anything is diminishing. Long term, I predict abundance.

I can swing a $2-3K Platform 2 better than the FUV. In a week I'll get a battery for the Dasher and advertise it at $1250. I don't yet know if it is bike path, street or highway capable.

Long-term a coachbuilding business would be great. Maybe a camper pod to fit the flatbed, with wheelie bars that turn into camper jacks or something.

Expect a tri-motor version with some new battery pack.

Wowsers.

I haven't watched this yet, but the pitch is hub motors and air suspension. I'm sooo glad I haven't triggered my reservation number yet.

edit: Air suspension may be an option? I think I'm holding out for the 3D printed A-arms.

FUV is going wheel motors?

Maybe just the rear arm in the trimotor, hopefully.

This is already five days old:

There's a segment on cost savings from new thermo-forming and welding equipment, at the conclusion it shows over a thousand dollars reduction in parts costs.
