I've avoided collisions where someone moved into my lane twice in the last 2 years by driving extremely close to the median barrier. That requires the decision to leave my lane, which is something I doubt autonomous systems do yet.

Tesla hits parked trucks and tries to split lanes by driving through the dividing barrier.

We're a long way from autonomous vehicles... like 8 years minimum, and probably more like 15. We'll get some limited routes and examples of the tech sooner, but as far as being able to purchase a vehicle that can travel 99% of the roads in the US unassisted... 15 years.
Basically the bay area will get some buses, and everybody else will get highway lane keeping.

I clicked the button out of curiosity.

They wanted me to sign in. If I did that then all those enticing thumbnails that when you click them they want you to confirm your age would turn into an ever expanding void.

I gave my privacy away long ago. Advertising is very ineffective on me, and perhaps counterproductive when I identify the method of manipulation.

I'm willing to trade privacy for knowledge and entertainment, perhaps mostly because I have yet to have a negative consequence of doing so.

That is very valid for you and now... but it is registered for ever.

For us living in other parts of the world, facebook, youtube, watsap etc are reasons for serious concearn. Because they are well known the govt might ask for your activity report.

The report will be reviewed by an official (who is most likely to be a complete ****tard, in my case I can only wish IT will be a ****tard). And then all bets are off.

I have inquired the price of depleted uranium for its density. (Imagine you want a low profile cam shaft or a balace shaft). I have wiewed several videos on amateur rocketry...

Imagine what an ignorant person out of context might conjure up from those views alone...

Imagine what IT might do 10-20-30-40-50 years from now (provided you-your grand children-your grand grand children have something of value / need to be removed)

In the united states of murrica you ar blissfully living the initial phases of idiocracy (nothing wrong with that if you think of yourself and your children but not your grand children and further generations). But when the going gets tough, an algorithm may decide that liquefying your assets is the best outcome for the people.

In my country, things are very different. The dude saw that we had a significant military budget, then decided that he would enjoy a slice of that pie. He used email, chat and various platforms as evidence and liquefied the entire army an leached all of its funds.

At my uni I have several students from military academies. Who hate being there, but their only options were to become a 20 year old primary school graduate or continue studies as an engineering student at uni instead of becoming a helicopter pilot.

The NSA and the internet is really scary stuff if you are not at the end of your life.

Ps: depleted uranium is 19 kg/l vs 13kg/l for lead and my russian vendor on skype quoted me 200+ usd / kg on skype.

Lets just say I enjoy a challenge.

It isn't enough to avoid evil with the hope that I can safely arrive at my death. Evil needs to be confronted, not avoided. If avoiding evil were the aim in life, I'd move to a remote part of Alaska and be a hermit. If evil gets the best of me, then so be it. Likewise, the evil in me needs to be opposed and overcome, also not possible by living as a hermit in Alaska.

Regarding google searches, I recall a guy who had found himself on government radar due to googling things like how to get away with murder... turns out he was a screenwriter for a crime show.

Context is everything.

At some point I expect the brain will be mapped out well enough to have a reliable enough lie detector that can be used to dismiss someone as a suspect at the very least. As long as there exists a disconnect between the pursuit of justice, and the criminal legal system, we'll continue to have problems though. The incentive is to successfully convict, not to pursue facts/truth.

Is there a price break for quantity? It would make a great keel for a sailboat.

Or if you been with Internet since the beginning of it's life.

I had a friend that said 'The Internet is the devil.' I suggested that Internet is the battleground between good and evil. He deleted me not the other way around.

I'm not sure how much is allowed at this time in your location, but there is a tide to human events. In the USofA we have a First Amendment that puts us miles ahead of say France or the UK. But Iran and China are ahead of them as well.*

Be aware that the greybeards who created the TCP/IP stack are still around for the most part and working on redecentralization. There are alternatives to HTML like UUCP.

Our best hope is that Gen Z isn't buying what the Millennials (and Boomers) are selling. To quote Lt Corbis, "Be Not Afraid".

Unless you're trying to corrupt the data stream with wild disinformation. That should never come back to bite you.
