I don't know about you, but the Pterosaur was extinct before I was born!
How can you maintain that? It's unknowable and there are lots of 19th Century accounts. duckduckgo.com/?q=modern+day+pteradactyl

Similar to the way 'extinct' hominids map to the humanoid cryptids, like Bigfoot. I can't find the reference I wanted but I did run across this.

[Maybe this should go to The Lounge]

Funny, I’d have preferred that design on the day the CyberTruck was revealed, but I quickly came to appreciate the Delorean look.

I hate the narrowed width at the doors because it’s simply lost space and worse aerodynamics for aesthetic reasons. Never let the artists conception drive the engineering.

Here's a design that could be made with simple curves and curved butt welds.

Governments exist by the will of the people alone, just sometimes the people or the government forgets this.

Someone in another forum was spouting off about "political will"... as if that's a thing. There is what a group of people want or will tolerate, and what they don't want or won't tolerate, and nothing else. Politics is the mechanism to impose that rough consensus. The political aspect by definition being coercion of behavior and restriction of liberty. That isn't necessarily bad, but if coercion is going to be implemented, it had better be for a very good reason.

Picture won't embed. I might print one when I have metal-filled filament loaded.

took 'delivery' of CYBERTRUCK this morning

I was at KROGER this morning, in the school supply section looking at office materials ( when on sale, they're a very good value ).
The 'toy' section is directly across the isle.
A Mattel' HOT WHEELS display had CYBERTRUCK. $ 1.08 with tax.
I opened the package in the truck. This die-cast model, built under license from TESLA MOTORs is actually faithful to all the subtle body curvature, so elusive in photographs and CFD modeling. One might presume that TESLA granted MATTEL access to the CAD-CAM data cloud for the truck.
The model indicates for 16-inch ground clearance, so you don't get to experience it as when operated on the highway, but it's way out ahead of nothing.
At one $, the impulse-buy was irresistible. And it's as close as I'll ever come to owning one.

Hehe, I never impulse buy, but if I had come across that, I would probably make the exception.

It could be Whitcomb-waisting, as currently in play with the Cd 0.1716 Mercedes-Benz EQXX.
It has been also described in connection with 'area-rule', 'sectional- density', 'bump-placement', and Coke-bottling.'
It can mitigate the pressure spikes associated with the sudden greenhouse eruption from the main body, actually enhancing attached flow and low drag.
