I'd be concerned about wind-burn on the exposed leaves.

But technically, that's a 5th-wheel hitch on the rear axle line, so... yeah.

Except for buying plants at Home Depot. They must have a national plant-buying program that is based on the east coast, because very little of what they sell locally (northern Nevada) seems to be suited to the Great Basin climate.

It was only about a mile ride home at maybe 15MPH max, so they should be fine.

Wasn't planning on the plant, original reason for going was to get a pot and potting soil for another plant that is getting too big for its current pot. My wife has been wanting a hanging plant for the front porch, ended up with a multilevel hanging strawberry, we'll see how it does.

A nice side effect of taking the bikes and trailer is it limits how much we can get.

I bought a 3' cherry tree at Costco Thursday with both the truck and the trailer. Not planning that but I had just dropped off the last of our 50+ year old Siberian Elms at the composter. I felt like ratcheting down the tiny tree in the back of the empty trailer just to turn heads but just put it in the back seat instead. BTW, the little 20 year old trailer did hold more than our long bed Ram and was easier to load and unload.

Here's my mowing rig.
Most useful car I've ever owned.
Its a hatch with great hauling capacity, i can drive for uber with it, great mpg, can haul four kayaks with my roof rack, and the hitch carrier is fantastic as well if you need to haul a washer or whatever the hell you want.

I use my dad's old Muuli 400kg trailer for trash hauling.

One of my trailers..

This is the one that isn't a flatbed.
I love it,.. I drive a manual. if I had an automatic I'd have to put a bigger transmission cooler on it.

If we ever need to haul anything, unless it's really huge, we can usually fit it in the back of my wife's little HRV with the back seats down. And that thing still gets around 30 mpg with mixed driving. Not bad for a little SUV. If I ever have anything huge to carry, which is extremely rare, I'll just give my buddy $10-$15 for gas and he'll do it.

I so badly wished I lived closer to work, because this type of setup would be my daily transportation. Get a little trailer to throw my work bag in and head out.
