Is that a lane or a driveway?

I've done that in the Prius before. I could probably do that with the Mazda now, but I'd rather just get good at looking at the screen.

110ft driveway as the second entrance on the back. The main drive way is up front. It was honestly what caught my eye on the house. lol

I always wonder why people would build a house right on the street when they have so much property, but then it is the cheaper option. Less driveway to build, less distance to run utilities, etc.

Build a bigger house on the street, or build a smaller one further away from it?

I used to live in a house right on the street right beside my neighbors with about 6ft between us on each side. What a sucky way to build a house. The back yard and sides of the house were useless since we were all on top of each other (for me since I need to park stuff) and the back yard was larger but you couldn't get anything back there.

I originally thought about building a house but way over my head and abilities right now, but yes if I did it I would aim for a rectangular or square lot, push the house to one side, and have a ton of usable space. Coincidentally thats how these people did. The house is pushed to the right near the neighbor about 5ft off their fence with a lot of half an acre for use for other activities.

Our current house is only 35ft from the street, but it's a dead-end 25 MPH street. Neighbors are fairly close on either end too, making for no view there. The back of the house has a spectacular view being up the steep hill, above the neighbors who would otherwise be blocking it.

My wife wanted the place, and I was willing since it has a 3 car garage.

My question is, does the nearby park have enough space to take off and land in a powered paraglider? Would make the 7 mile trip to my parents more interesting.

I definitely understand that!

The only time I 'owned' real estate was this 1940s bungalow

To the right was an alley. The City bought the house and church parking lot across the alley and turned it into a park. It was pretty entertaining in the summer.

No wonder so many houses have either a wide-open carport or a garage with doors on both ends, enabling vehicle access to the backyard.

This is a good suggestion. I don’t have a place to store one, but I’d like the idea of a trade/swap/rental of one from private owners.
