That's a good point in favor of a single carburettor. On a sidenote, my only concern regarding a single carburettor in a longer manifold which would be needed is that it could be more easily subjected to icing. Well, maybe a plastic manifold won't have this issue so noticeably at all...

On a sidenote, I have already seen some motorcycles with a single carburettor, usually larger than the stock ones. Sometimes it increases the low-end torque.
