Civic Hatchback "Wing". Thoughts?

Any thoughts on this wing, other then the price , with respect to fuel efficiency?

I'm running one of their "outlaw" wings. The angle needs to be adjusted slightly, but it comes out cleaner than coroplast. The price is a good bit cheaper if you don't get it wrapped and wait for one of their regular sales.

If it had sides on it would be twice as effective, or there abouts.

If you bought fiberglass roving & matting + a liter or 2 of fiberglass resin you could make a improved version of it.

I would use a one sided waxed mold identical to the car, to shape on to help keep it accurate.

Could cost $75 bucks for material & some touch up ,color match paint.

I like it because of the carbon fiber and that little pneumatic.

Not great, but mine's bigger (extends to about the end of the bumper). You'll learn to live with it. If I'll be in a congested area, I'll add a little air to the rear air bags since I don''t have side mirrors.

It looks like it will help you fuel economy, maybe 2 -3 mpg.

I would keep its angle slight so you do not try to rush air over the end , but let it breeze over, if you get what I mean. keep the slope real gentle , like the boattails angle.

If you put a long piece of poly tube or wood on top of the kammback toward the ground you will see exactly where you are pointing the 'wing kammback' and can adjust it until the poly pipe or wood points to the correct angle.

Maybe the photo makes it look pointed downward to much, that's how I am seeing it from here.
