Why would anyone want man kind to be bound to earth?
What's wrong with these people, they seem so defeated, ambitionless, self loathing?
I say if you want to go to another planet or moon, good luck, I'm not going. Humans are not fairing well even from long term low earth orbit exposure, which still has some protection from earth's magnetic field.
Deep space is going to be even more treacherous.

Underground cities in space?

I would probably miss-characterize it; some sort of weird libertarian trans-humanism. We must remain and be subservient to our newly *ss-ended masters.

Nice one.

Elon Musk made a joke that went something like: "We'll need a good bar on Mars. It will be called Mars Bar (I love bad jokes)". One of three he made in the span of six minutes or so.

So what do you think about Suspicious 0bservers?

Musk is completely wasting vast resources on the pipe dream of an off world civilization on Mars. We have much more beneficial projects we should be focusing on.

Look at it this way. He is reducing the cost of achieving [sub-]orbit and beyond by an order of magnitude. Can you appreciate that he is a eco-modder?

One person must focus. Humankind can multi-task.

If you want to establish an extraterrestrial base where people can live continuously there really is one place of choice: Mars.
You'd still need to bore tunnels to live in (to hide from radiation) but at least there would be near-normal gravity (preventing muscle degradation and other nastiness) and it seems like all the essential elements are available.

So a pipe dream, maybe. But in its sort the best option for now.

And when it succeeds and we look at the stars for further expansion, Mars is a much more suitable launch platform than the Earth. Thinner atmosphere, lower gravity, so much more extra capacity or speed to aid the last stage of the rocket.
Hell, they may even set up factories to produce and launch high-orbit satellites for Earth.

These doctor were stupid !!!

Pasteur had already prooved about germs and need of sterilaztion. But the civil war doctor saw a infected leg (presence of pus) as good signal, and ausense as a bad signal. So they tended to amputee a good leg.
It's was arrogance, just it.

About polution, please... It's not global warmin, since plastic and oil affects lifes in many other way, from bad air quality to pollution of water and earth, and oceans. A lot of this because people eat like pigs in fast food using plastic and stirene plates ands cups.

We understand and appreciate your distress at your predicament. One can see the same things here. But here we are having what's called #greatawakening.

The questions in the survey are the same as the ones given to climate scientists a few years ago, and are at the end of the paper. While 97% believe we are a significant contributor, but doesn't define what they mean as significant. A later question helps clear things up #27, has 70% believing we are responsible for more than 50% with 20% of respondents unsure.

Even as a skeptic I still fall into the 97%.
One thing that got my attention was,I think,in Too Smart For Our Own Good,by Dilworth.
If you took all the hydrocarbons we burned each year,it was equivalent to burning down all the Earth's forest cover,15-Times,each year.
It's straightforward to calculate the volume of the troposphere, resolved into a sphere,at standard temp and pressure, then compare that to the volume of Earth.
When you compare the two together it'll blow your mind when you actually see how tiny our atmosphere is.
And Venus gives us a little insight into what carbon dioxide can do to a planets atmosphere.844-degees F,day and night, with 200-mph winds.Sweet!
