A brazilian ginecologist rapped nearly 60 women (that was discovered so far) and other doctors knew for years he did that, but did nothing about.
A orthopedist harassed a lot of patients, had charges made by patietns, but nothing happened to hin until a TV station got hin with hidden cameras. Latter he tried toi sue the TV station.

Doctors have big egos, and have few tolerance to patients... and got anoyed easily.

Drug adiction are also higher between doctors, and it start on medicine schooll, as it's a fashion for many of them.
That's a product of a poor regulatory environment, not necessarily inherent to the medical profession.

Also, drug use in med school isn't fashion. It's a coping mechanism. People in high stress occupations are more prone to taking drugs, whether legal (caffeine, tobacco, etcetera) or illegal, to cope.

All industries work for profit. And yes, drug companies put profit uber alles.

But to say that drug companies research chronic treatments instead of cures is incorrect. You have multiple competing companies working on palliative treatments, maintenance medicines and outright cures on a lot of major diseases. Nobody is aiming low. The first company that develops a vaccine or cure for a major disease often has an advantage... a window in time... wherein it can dictate terms and pricing for its sale to governments around the world.

You develop a vaccine for SARS or H1N1, and you've got a few years where you're the sole supplier of vaccines globally, with the chance of making billions in sales.

You develop a "cure" for cancer, and you stand to make even more.

Aiming low makes no sense. You aim low, develop a treatment that will only prolong survival of but not cure a patient, then you're sod out of luck when another manufacturer finds a cure.

That's like building a disposable toaster that only lasts a few weeks, hoping people will keep buying them as they break... right before someone else builds a toaster that lasts for years. (yeah, yeah, modern appliances don't last forever... but nobody is going to buy a toaster with half-inch thick coils that last forever but use a hundred times as much electricity to toast your bread)

The job description of personal doctors is not actually to keep them alive and healthy, but to keep them happy. If they feel they need onion oil rubbed on their buttocks every seventeen minutes, if the doctor does not humor his employer, the crazy rich guy will find a replacement.

Do you refer about man get VR with "perfect" submisse digital womenlike figures, and became unable to desire real women ?
I'm not using human nature to justify actions, only to explain them. Proposals that do not account for human nature are destined to fail.

I do expect VR to reduce birth rates just as online pornography has done so. Also, there is a societal trend of making men into women, and women into men, so that finally neither will find each other desirable. As this happens, men will turn to VR, and women will turn to cats, I guess.

The problem of overpopulation is already solved, we merely have to wait for it to take effect.

That's actually the description of most any doctor. The role of the doctor is to keep the patient entertained long enough for nature to take its course. Medicine is still in its infancy.

Total gas station collapse

In a sense, that is.
The roof of a Total gas station along the A58 between Goes and Middelburg, some 10 miles away from my inlaws, collapsed last night.
Nobody got hurt, it was closed at the time anyway.

I see people arguing in a way that's sounds like justification or acceptance for the status quo, like if was right. That's what I use to say, people are accepting wrong things, just accept all crap of today. The over information and massive dislike, lack of heros, lack of true ideology, lack of hope, made people see horrible things as normal. This is abominable. Indeed it's a self defense mechanism, to avoid suffering and disappointment. Like old wifes married with bast****s acceting hits as normal to avoid revolt and suffering or no justice arrive.

A drug company which profit bilions with cronic disease for they have pattented drugs would have no interest in create a cure for the disease.

When I say doctor, I do not refer to a f... paper or f... book of rules, but I refer to what happens in reality, the true events in day by day. What is the value of papers if they don't follow ther ethic code written into it???
I understood than in USA and Europe justice punish these people when they are catched. But in my country they go unpunished.

The proposal that all crazy sh... 3th wave feminism, which call all men as rappers and all women as victims, is about reverse gender to reduce birth rate it's hard to believe. For me it's just a crazy evil political moviment aiming for power and using people as cow, as always. Women are 50% of voters.

O Argentina radical feminists wanted to burn a church, invade, and people there made a humam chain to stop/avoid them get in. The girls throw urine, feces, sprayed paint over their chest and face, kicked them, brushed tits over them, took off and brushed panties on their faces.
I said it to a psychologist woman I know, when casualy met her in a parck, asked her why women and sociologist and psychologist did not make critics to such violence but would certainly made a lot if 2% of such violence had came from a man against a woman, but she stayed silence and moved away.
Even psychologist are corrupt.

The force of this evil sh... is that people today are stupid hipocrite, childish, without shame on face, and only judge things that are convenient for temselves, "navelist" as I use to say (only look to their own navel)". It's like the kids found the key for the booze wardrobe

I used to write in a forum that belonged to a doctor, and when I placed information to how avoid evil greed doctors, and news about crimes on medicine, and describe all tricks doctor have and their lies, other doctors started to threat the doctor that owned the forum and allowed me do critics, saying I was demoralizing medicine.

I'm starting to see the outline of a low-energy future:
Structures made from seacrete or microbial-bound sandstone
Soil from nano-particulate clay infusion
Ecosystems from AI-driven livestock grazing
Fuel, Bio-char and carbon sequestration from Cool Planet
Weather covers as tents after Frei Otto, covered with foil-based PV cells
All populated of course by cool old cars and trucks from the 1940s and 1950s with EV conversion drivetrains and solid-electrolyte battery packs.

Old cars drived by computers and droids.
Humans will be in majority living in a sort of Matrix (but without drain energy), by their own choice, to forget the cold horrible society. Matrix with women being man and man being women or man/women being dog or cats & dolphins destroying Dead Star, and the few ones out the Matrix will be home pets for the droids.

Then, the world will be finally saved from humans.

I haven't seen Ready Player One yet, but that's the premise. At least partly.

sendler — We're already supporting 7 billion, if not well. Saharasia is 1/3 of the land surface and could use re-greening.

Seacrete lilly-pads could be filled with dredged sand and then a little [nano-particulate] clay and compost tea would produce even more arable acreage.
