There was a study on contrails/ surface temp that was done in the days after 9/11 since there were no commercial air flights. i don't remember what they found.

"though contrails can both warm and cool, there is more of a warming effect."

electrical properties

I was making a comparison between the electrical properties of the two bodies. Coronal mass ejections have more effect.

Red sprites are found above those thunderstorms/Earthspots:

There is some sort of energy transfer going on there.

edit:

An historical example would be the beginnings of the Sahara and Gobi deserts within human memory. Climate effects are unquantified, but the toll in human misery is on-going.

JAMES DEMEO: SAHARASIA
One thing I found is from:the Institute for Nuclear Research,Academy of Sciences,Moscow,2 May,1986,SCIENCE.
They discuss electron-type neutrinos transforming to muon-type neutrinos,as they pass out of the Sun,which escape detection on Earth.
The solar neutrino detectors are only sensitive to electron-types.
Of the three types of neutrinos, only muon and tau-type can pass through matter without being affected very much;not so for electron-type.
Perhaps there's some sort of electrical coupling between Earth and Sun,which we can see phenomena created from, although our monitoring equipment is blind to.Just a SWAG!
The coronal mass ejections are the thing of the best, yet to be produced, Sci-fi movie! (hold the pop-corn,we've got pop-people!)

"The only way 2 people can keep a secret is if one of them is dead."

That's an exaggeration, but chemtrails is bogus. You get more than a handful of people involved in a conspiracy, and the odds of keeping it secret fall to near zero. Certainly the peons loading the "chem" into the planes wouldn't keep a secret. Pilots know their aircraft too well to miss the extra payload going in. Finally, government people are just like us; stupid. Their ability to conspire with something involving science/technology is exceedingly poor.

Heck, the Bigfoot video involved something like 2 people, and that hoax couldn't even be kept secret.

...and as always: Occam's razor- a principle from philosophy. Suppose there exist two explanations for an occurrence. In this case the simpler one is usually better. Another way of saying it is that the more assumptions you have to make, the more unlikely an explanation.

I'm properly skeptical. I would like to see an explanation for those photographs of persistent cross-hatched grids in the sky.

Today I'm thinking I'd like to road-trip to the Orgone Biophysical Research Laboratory Greensprings Center in Ashland OR.

Thanks Freebeard :-)

And back to solar panels...
Multi junction are too expensive, despite get 35% efficience. Concentrator can use tiny bits of multi juntions (reducing cost) and concentrate 1000 suns and reach a 47% efficiency. But it requires trackers are costly.

A company developed a optical that always take the sun light to the same direction, but concentrates just 200 suns. They said to have 36% efficience.

Not sure if the 36% limitation (instead of 47% like othjer concentrator using multi junction) it's just because of the 200 x suns concentration, or if it's due loss of light when get through the opticals.
WHy not concentratre 1000 suns instead of 200??? Maybe the precision of the opticals should be too much, and the price of good opticals with such precision would increase the price.

Does that concentration unit cool the PV cell(s)? Heat is the enemy of efficiency. There is an Israeli company makes this sort of collector - it uses the heat gathered, and cooling the PV keeps as much of the added efficiency as possible.

The thing is though, it all comes down to how much of the sun's energy you can gather - and that comes from the area the sunlight shines on.

Don't know if I've linked this already, but here it is.

“The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels”

While he underplays the importance of finding alternative energy, I learned a lot as to how beneficial fossil fuels have been, and continue to be. I may have converted my belief from "necessary evil" to "great good with negative externalities which should be considered".
