Eastern Oregon?

Sounds like you need a state where they get tons of sun and have the will to act.

Cleaning it's something few people comment about solar panels. And a company created a semi automatic device to help clean panels in solar farms.

Well, how often and how exactly do you clean your solar panel ?
Is that risk, depending of the roof ?

Can it be, in some cases, like "self clean", if the clime in a given place has low dust and good rains along the year ?

People always said Sahara desert could supply energy for the entire planet, if a few percentage of it would be used for solar farms. But I imagined how would they find water to clean 15 billion solar panels or more in a clime with sandstorm.

Some years it goes for months raining just enough to get cars dirty.
I imagine that would build up on panels after a while.

It have to be antireflection, to be used in solar panels. If you add a antireflection layer, the antireflex layer will not be selfclean (I presume).

And if it's like self clean oven, it still need to apply a little cloth time to time.

Why is coal still a thing? It is a big part of what keeps us alive. And is forecast on every study that I have seen to increase (like oil and then gas) basicly until we can't get our hands on any more. Projections are guesstimates of course. The second chart is way short on total energy demand compared to other studies I have seen as what will be required to maintain our current exponential growth in world GDP. But it gives a general idea of what I expect. Total world coal consumption to continue to rise slightly for the next 100 years until it too is limited by availability due to diminishing ER/EI. Or a world economic crash probably much sooner.

I read a sci fi story where a kid's mom died in the "Food mines." They turned coal into food?

If you could turn one form of carbon into another, I am sure there are easier ways of obtaining it than digging miles underground, like maybe taking some nice vegetables and feeding them to animals.

I read a popular mechanics article from the 1960s that talked about turning cellulose into sugar for candy, what should have been about 20 years ago.
So same idea.
The petro chemicals industry turns oil into synthetic aspirin, synthetic fibers, plastics and such.

I have said before coal is the future.
I better get my futuristic coal furnace ready for this season, and find some coal for it.
