Scott Adams took a few weeks looking at the question, and decided that there was a lot of blue smoke and mirrors on both sides. ...then the Green New Deal came along.

Good to know that it is all a mistake.
That Mauna Loa is not measuring increasing CO₂ levels. That Antarctica is not melting, not seeing record temperatures. And so on.

Science has been wrong all along.
All it takes is one cartoonist, and of course people desperate enough to hang on to that.

The poles have been warming for the last 10,000 years.
If all this really is happening so fast how do we still have people living below sea level.
That appears to defy all logic and reason.

That's not what the cartoon is conveying, and that's not what SA says in his videos.

The cartoon is conveying the reaction some people have when someone is skeptical of claims of impending doom unless we take drastic action. Often that drastic action involves giving power, authority, and liberty to a political party or individual with the guise to get us out the perceived emergency. It of course involves surrendering money for the cause.

Economists can predict the future about as well as palm readers. Mix the true science of global warming with palm reading, and what do you get?

The real slap in the face is when people tell me that there is a catastrophe right now; that the environment is so horrible currently that we've got to take extreme action. It's so disrespectful. I have eyes and ears that work just fine. I can see that people are better off than they have ever been before. You can't tell me everyone is dying when my own eyes are functioning just fine.

There's a case to be made that the future environment might be less hospitable for humanity and that's an argument worth considering. Someone claiming a current environmental catastrophe can be dismissed outright as a cultist or crazy.

I don't read that in the cartoon either. Not at all actually.

Please quote the part of the cartoon that implies all the science is wrong.

My question has always been, what year in the future should we expect global warming to have a net negative impact to humanity? What year in the future will it be harmful to our global economy?

Some people say right now, but as I said, I have eyes and a functioning mind. Others say soon. When? There seems to be a widespread global religion that makes the claim that we must sacrifice on the altar of Mother Nature because there is coming Apocalypse. Those that make a sufficient (arbitrary) sacrifice are righteous, while all the heathens that don't make the sacrifice (or at least pretend to) should be cut off from society.

Another nail goes in the coffin today for man as the primary climate driver. Solar orbiter goes up today.
I know all the believers are hoping it blows up on the launch pad like a north Korean ballistic missile test.

And that's precisely why they are a cult.
If you don't believe everything is in a state of ongoing catastrophe, everything bad that happens is because of man made global warming and that the world will end soon or questions any part of the narrative you are a denier.
I was willing to side with believers and only asked for some clarification on abstract and ambiguous things and was labeled a denier. Then when I put the abstracts, ambiguity and extreme hostility all together that made me suspicious, as if they were hiding something...

I'd sort it out this way: '...IGNORE THE ONES THAT LOOK WRONG TO US' vs '...OF THE SORT THAT HAVE NEVER BEEN RIGHT'. Explaining jokes ruins them, sorry.

In today's episode Scott Adams looks at Climate Change through the lens of 'can Presidential candidates speak meaningfully on the subject': https://youtu.be/2qvTBWu4nOk?t=376 until t=817.

Better yet, Akkad Daily: Humanity Must Die, a Progressive Manifesto. Hilarity ensues.

Meanwhile I'm off to look at: How Gasification Turns Waste Into Energy

We throw away a ton of energy.
I have been burning most of my trash lately coal furnace and man it puts off a lot of heat.
I was recycling cardboard for 1 cent a pound, but if I burn it that's at least 1 cent worth of heat pump heat.
Styrofoam is like pure oil.
