To further complicate the issue, how would we define "fairness"?

The root cause of the issue, if it is as serious as some believe, is a large population. US citizens may have high per-capita consumption, but we're just about flatlined as far as population growth. Other countries may have substantially less per-capita consumption, yet a wildly growing population.

There's an inverse relationship between consumption per capita and population growth (family size). Wealthier people tend to be less interested in having large families. In the case of Japan, they aren't interested enough to maintain their current population. That appears to be the harbinger of trends to come for other nations.

Let's do a little test.
Here's one of those sources of mine that doesn't exist.
https://www2.hao.ucar.edu/hao-scienc...limate-forcing
In a nut shell it assignes 2/3 of the global warming we have seen to solar forcing.
Now we wait and watch the believers pretend like it doesn't exist.

The solar orbiter that went up the other day is more brand new instrumentation that is going to study the solar forcing phenomenon.

The sun is cooler than expected, at the moment. How can it be forcing the climate to warm?

The massive preponderance of all papers show that humans are driving the rapid climate change, that we are seeing.

A paper here or there is not going to change this.

This is a rabbit-hole that if you go down it you find that it's the title of a book in German that was never translated to English. What does that say about everything you've ever read? Hmm?

Another data point - a new record high temperature in Antarctica on Sunday - 69F.

https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/m...-in-antarctica

It used to be any temperature above freezing in Antarctica, was rare.

Very misleading. The coastal ice is always around that temp. Its only the central land ice that stays super cold. Its only a couple degrees warmer than normal.

The point at which they are measuring is at 64.2° S and is in the Summer season. Its almost in the middle to the equator than the south pole.

Well I wouldn't go quite that far to say it's nearly halfway between equator and south pole. It's 71% of the way to the south pole, which is quite a bit more than 50%.

I'm sitting right on top of half way, at the 45th parallel.

It's a good point though, that it isn't "The pole" and it is summer. All I can say is it doesn't affect me or anyone I know, so I won't stress about it. Pretty chilly this morning at the 45th though.

Bad reporting is bad:
