That's another serious problem. BTW I remember one of the reasons that led some farmers in my state to start using genetically-modified seeds was the allegation that it would enable them to decrease the usage of pesticides to glyphosate-based ones only.

I finally found seaweed in the dollar store. I bought one package of three 5g packets and mixed one into a big bowl of chili. Twelve pieces of seaweed seemed like it would be horrible, but it softened, mixed in, and was barely noticeable, just like a small amount of chard or something. I do not have any idea if it will make a difference, but yay! Vegetables!

its not to complicated until you try to remove something from its place

The question was whether adding seaweed to chili would reduce methane production. I do not have any idea, but with the ratios I used, it would not be inherently unpopular at a chili cookoff.
