Ideal gas laws state air density would change by: (520/(460+actual temperature in °F)) if using STP of 60°F.

So at my current 0°F, air is 13% more dense.

The battery will perform worse in the cold.

Finally saw the car during daylight hours, so I took a better pic of the tag surround

I really like the way it turned out

Very nice!

You've inspired me to trade one of my Gen1 Volts for a Gen2 Volt. Lovin' it so far.

I was referring to the energy needed to push the vehicle forward in the denser medium. So EV or ICE would not make much difference.

Yep, they're both awesome cars! The G2 is a little easier to hypermile and seems a little roomier, but I've had a blast driving both generations

Got it! I wasn't putting that together, now it makes perfect sense

I had the best mpg in a Volt so far on the way home tonight. With the warm weather (but not too hot) the Volt does really well

Nice number! Had my best mileage today since winter started here. It was up to almost 30 today and I managed just shy of 74 on my way home.

A shame electricity is almost twice as expensive per "gallon" here as gasoline or I'd be really tempted by an EV. Though, I suppose you're still paying less per mile than I am, and arguably have a lot more car.

How do you figure you have "a lot more car"?

Do you have an AMG that's not in your sig? Or a Lambo your not telling us about?

Lol
