Next annoyance:
I had my yearly registration inspection done last month. An emissions test should always be done, but never is. I've never had one, no-one I know has either. This year I had my mechanic (privately: my brother-in-law) go to the inspection since he is in cahoots with one of the station's workers. I told him I'd like him get his friend to do an emissions test, so the day before he calls him up and said the test will be done. Next day he goes there and comes back without the emissions test. Supposedly the staton worker got the machine warmed up for me, but then said that since my engine is a diesel then the test is more complicated, blahblahblah, and finally didn't do it 
I got pissed and let my bro-in-law know it!! Unfortunately, he's not the kind of person who would care  Now, I could go and have the emissions test done, but it costs as much as the inspection, and why should I pay for something which should be done during the inspection anyway?

Baby poo poo [or whatever] annoys me.
This is one of the longest thread in all of these forums and either nobody has been annoyed in the last week, or everyone unsubscribed when I posted that picture, so I removed it.
Today's annoyance is working for my father. Honestly, I wish that I could help out for free, but I need the money. Putting in the first fence was arduous and frustrating, but it looks good, and I am proud of it. My dad made the second one easier, and the fence will look just as good, but I fear that it will fall over prematurely. However, he dug the fifth hole too far for the stringers that he bought. Then he bought a bunch of cinder blocks so that we could move the 8'x12' shed eighteen inches so that I could fence next to it. However, he placed the cinder blocks with the outer edge 36" away.
The back is sitting on dirt, but the front is propped up eight inches. I spent several hours breaking the frozen ground under the blocks and carrying away frozen pieces of dirt (in the third picture) and when that would remove too much, I poured buckets of hot water to melt the snow and ice, but the ground froze before softening.
My dad came out and kept telling me to move the cinder blocks closer, we were only moving the shed a foot and a half.
So, why did he put them so far away? That wasted hours of my time!

I had ninja'd a close parking spot at Costco, Not that I really go for them but it just worked out. So after shopping I am pushing my cart out as I get to my car I find someone waiting for me to pull out (I had not even opened the lift gate yet. So I open the lift gate, unload my costco goods (she is still sitting in her black minivan, now with the blinker on), take my cart to the designated spot. Get the kid from the cart and walk her back (she is less than two so she does not walk that great yet). The lady is still waiting for my spot. Load the kid into the car, get myself in as she glares at me, apparently for wasting her time. Then finally pull out and drive past about 3 spots she could have parked in and been shopping by the time I was done.

#employer is on a new kick - greatly accelerated product cycles. Efficiency improvement, LEAN, AGILE, KANBAN, and a bunch of other new buzzwords and acronymns. Lots and lots of mid-level VPs attending lots and lots of seminars in warm sunny locations, generating lots and lots of training materials and blog posts, lots and lots of jockeying among the said execs to show who is supporting the new paradigm, how soon, how much, and can show results, like, yesterday.
Actual bottom line: work more, slaves!
