Not to add to your daily annoyances, but SMTP was never designed to handle 75MB attachments. It'll do it, but you don't really want to (grumbles the ex-email admin).

A far, far better alternative is a simple FTP server. Failing that, use a file transfer service such as Dropbox.

They went spare at the idea of using Dropbox! I've used it personally, and had no issues..

Agreed that its probably not secure, but I find it funny its the only game in town for transferring large files provided by IT

Gas prices have reached an all-time high in New Zealand. To "help" the local media have put together a list of ways to save fuel, most are reasonably sensible, but some are just downright incorrect. The one that annoys me most has to be saying that modern automatics are more fuel efficient than manuals.

Cut your fuel bill with AA's simple tips | Stuff.co.nz

EDIT: just noticed it's the NZ AA that has put out the list, even worse!

If it's a really new A/T, like VAG's DSG or the ZF8, then yes.
Otherwise, nope.

I've been driving this Nissan for 1867 miles now, 5 full tanks and one daily top up. My best tank is 0.81 mpg better than my worst tank, and that was 4 tanks ago! I'm busting my ass in this thing and I can't make it do anything!

My second best tank was the first tank, the short one- back when it still had mainly one and a half year old gas in it.

It doesn't take much to damage them fancy tyres ... or rims.
