It's only Tuesday and I've had to use Java twice this week already.

I hate Java.

I wish I was drinking it, unfortunately not.

My annoyance this evening - joining the traffic queue for home about a mile long caused by the people who work for scotland.gov.uk working in Leith and going home to fife. Message to government - if your own workers don't like trains maybe you have a problem ?

Just sayin.

I love Edinburgh...

The polar vortex is SAVING me gas- I won't even go out there to start anything, it would be cruel and unusual punishment towards engines. Better to walk and freeze my face off.

On a related fuel station note - fuel pumps here in the UK have pipes long enough to allow vehicles (well cars, MPVs, pickups, SUVs) to refuel even if their tank opening is on the opposite side, there are even big signs on them saying

NO NEED TO WAIT FILL UP ON BOTH SIDES

which seems clear enough ?

So why do some people still just wait until the pump on the side which matches their car's filler ?

And why do they insist on getting annoyed when I fill up with a pump on the opposite side ?

Work annoyance.

We need a server where we can set up development of a legacy utility. IT tells to use Server X. Now, 4 months later, they're retiring Server X and we have to move it all to Server Y. Is this a sudden change of plans? Did they not know it was an old server 4 months ago?
