How many cars has Craigslist sold over the years?

How many people have posted cars on Craigslist, but wanted to hide the license plate?

I honestly think they should have a simple function built-in. I timed it and this took me thirty seconds. I am surprised it took that long, but why waste half a minute when you can just hold up something and possibly make your phone focus on that, blurring the actual car?

I still find it weird that people cover the plate. I normally just snap my pics and leave them in the photo. I mean at that point they already have the Vin number. If they buy the vehicle they will also have your street address.

You are selling the car. What are they going to do with the license plate number?

This is the absolute worst version of this that I have ever seen:

The car is not even in focus! You can still see that it is missing at least one wheel. It is being sold for parts, but it would be nice if you could tell the condition of the tail lights, trunk lid, and bumper.

I saw a couple Metro convertibles for under $2000 and one almost rust free blue manual for $800:

I suddenly feel the urge to get a Metro convertible, swap it with the 1.3L GTI i4 engine, supercharge it, do some decent weight reduction, put on some better suspension, shocks, wheels, and tires, and have myself a fun, small, 120hp 1500lb convertible that would probably still get 30-40 MPG.

Just for fun, you know, like a weekend toy.

*returns to the real world*

I made this, how about that? Bad Car Ads Coffee Table Book, the thread!

Today a woman asked about men that only aspired to play video games. I spend too much time playing games, but if I do not play for a day or a week, I just waste time in another way.

I pointed out that there is a social aspect often lacking in real life, you can work together towards a common goal, and video game goals are often easier to achieve than ones in real life.

I hear good things about moderators, though.

I don’t bother. I post my pics with the full plate. Not like hundreds or thousands of people don’t already see it whenever I drive...

Civic VX for 1200. He says the frame is slightly bent but it's been driven that way for a while. My Metro is on it's last legs, more problems than I can count and a new one every day. Should I jump on this VX?

Looks like a pretty nice specimen for a 27 year old car, but there is that common 5th gen Civic rust around the rear wheels. Definitely would check underbody rust and how extensive the frame damage is.

Also would definitely ditch those heavier wheels and put the 9.7lb VX rims back on.

$1200 isn't much and the car isn't going to be perfect, but obviously you'd need to check to make sure it's safe and isn't going to rust out on you in the next couple of months.

But lean burn, baby.
