Should I buy another Accord? :)

One year older, an additional 16,000 miles, still an automatic (so no 35 MPG), the U means it is a California version or something--a little less power and a more expensive catalytic converter. The CEL means that I would rather troubleshoot my occasional misfire, but what are the chances it is something minor, a million-to-one? https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...6290352923472/

Ah, the Used Car Department's dream...

The transmission in my wife's 2011 minivan with 211,000 miles went a couple months ago. Halfway home from the 1000 Islands. The rental, the one way U Haul with trailer a few nights later to get it home and gas for the U Haul ran about 8 or 9 hundred. The replacement transmission was a $100 deductible.

Hopefully I can stall on replacing the minivan until spring. A pair of snow tires is a lot cheaper than 6 months of payments on the minivan she wants to buy.

Hopefully I'm not trying to sell a 9 year old minivan with a quarter million miles next spring, but I don't know where I can stash it. It's too good to get rid of but not good enough to sell.

What kind of Honda Odyssey is it?

Thank you for using this lovely term, I didn't know anybody else did so. I have had one auto in the last 7 years and I hated every moment of it (I needed a commuter car on the quick and it was the first $500 car I found that moved under it's own power.)

I was sorely tempted by a 2004 Sentra with 104,000 miles for $995.

They want $3,000 for a Saturn, but got rid of the Sentra for "$1,000."

This is the dealership two towns over that had a 2010 Prius for $2,000 and then a 2008 Prius for $2,600: https://showlow.craigslist.org/ctd/d...963942457.html

The 2010 was supposedly nearly $2,600 out the door, so would the Sentra have been $1,300, $1,600, or something else?

I don't know!

It is not on their website, though, so it probably sold, just like the Aveo the same price.

Does anybody want to guess what I do not want?

I'd do some research. Nissan started using CVTs on those cars at some point, and back then they really did not last. A friend sold one with under 100k miles and he was starting to notice issues with the transmission. I do believe it was a newer body style though.

I definitely would have researched it, although I was focused on fixing my two Hondas. Unfortunately, I broke something on each of them yesterday. It looks like I will be paying $90 to rent a car.

1998 HX in Phoenix for $1,500

Does it check the boxes? Manual, 39 MPG highway (how do you only get 39 MPG highway in an HX?), and $1,500.

Yeah, good thing that I work two jobs Monday through Wednesday.

For those of you not cool enough for social media, I attached the images:

I tried to buy a Mustang.

I just wanted something reliable for now. I borrowed Mom's cars to get supplies to check the next set of things with my Accord and I realized she had cactus spines sticking out of the sidewall. I dropped it off at her tire place, got my fourth rental in less than four weeks, and really the only thing on Craigslist was that 2000 Mustang 3.8l for $1,695 and Chevrolets of the same time.

That dealership, which had Prii that I pursued, only accepts cash, and does not allow test drives unless you have cash in hand.

I have the money, but my bank does not have a location here. Since they do not accept debit or credit, I left.

I am talking to the owner of this one: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...ssenger_banner

Do I really want another Accord? No. Do I want another automatic? No. Do I want the hippier version of my Accord, but a year older, with another 17,000 miles?

No.

I just do not know what else to do right now. I did not see much in the Phoenix area, either.

She told me "the bell housing need a new bolt and sensor for the fan."

Then there is this one: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...s%20for%20sale

The same price, but for a 2000 Accord. How many miles? Is it an automatic or a manual? Why do the doors open the wrong way?

I did not see any Civics. This is the only Toyota: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...s%20for%20sale
