Our 155s were hung by chains. I'd hope other loads were, too. And the crew chief spent his time staring at it, waiting to cut it loose. The flight crew, oddly enough, cared more about their helicopter and all the lives on it than they did about whatever they were lugging at the moment.

This reminds me of towing the boat with the Prius. Pretty much all of Arkansas (outdoors) is hick country. It absolutely blows people's minds when I tell them they don't have to get 12mpg towing their sub one thousand pound riverboat setup with their Chevrolet. I swear most of the population will not think for themselves.

Arkansas & South Carolina share a backwardness prize. In some states it’s the congenitally-stupid. But in these two states it’s law a guy can’t appear, sound, or act differently than lowest common denominator.

Despite this I dearly like some I’ve met. But I’ll forever be a visitor.

Consider it like wearing camo: protective behavioral coloration.

In Arkansas when it comes to not hugging the bible, not listening to country music, not driving a four-wheel-drive, and not duck hunting, an old Japanese proverb comes to mind:
*in English tho bc it makes more sense*
"The nail that sticks out gets hammered."

Wish me luck though because I'm interviewing for a job in Fort Worth next week. I hope it goes well. I've always wanted to move to the dfw area.

Its pretty much the race car mecca and mechanical engineering mecca outside of the socal area.

I will say the best part of Arkansas is the NWA area in the warm months. Everybody should plan a backpacking or float trip to the buffalo river. Its the granola capital of the south.

I worked in dfw for 2 years. The traffic sucks, traffic jams every day except for sundays in all directions up to 20 miles away from the city center.
Work odd hours if you can. Live as close to work as possible.

Nah its not bad. Its the far left side of Fort Worth. There is no traffic. Work is 2 miles away. Although I was looking to live in White Settlement if I get an offer. So I'll need to start packing a pea shooter.

I hauled 12 bags of concrete mix in the leaf.
2 on the floor up front, 2 seat belted in the front seat, 4 on the floor in the back seat and 4 sitting on the back seat.
Going to need lots oc concrete bags for my next little project, so I will be doing this a few more times.

Put a freezer, a fridge, clothes dryer and the dolly on the trailer, lots of backing and evasive turning.
