Freebeard: saw an oddball VW yesterday at home despot which leads to the question: Was there a notchback that used the 77 ty3 front half? Didn't have my phone for pictures, this thing was chop topped, and looked like a squareback front grafted to a notch back half. Got to go there to spend more today, maybe it will still be there.

I knew a mechanic that welded two Type 34 halves together to make a car to give his mother.

The rubber mounted suspension in the Type III gave a nice ride compared to the Beetle.
