Perhaps someone in Brazil could follow this? The English subtitles are unhelpful, but it appears there is a Robert Design body kit for the VW Beetle.

Possible. They seemed interested that it was real glass.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opel_Tigra

There would be glass buried under the top of the hoop.

But it now has a conventional motor in it. From a '67? The serial number is from a '57.

Brother will just use it to toodle around the back roads where he lives.

Have you shown him this?

The bottom one opens from either side or lifts off. Side windows or no.

Consider the Ariel Hipercar.

It needs to be a VW time attack rat rod. The top could be approximated with a slant top chop. The full height windshield and dashboard would be tilted back, with a pie cut from zero at the windshield header to 4-6 inches at the back window. The cool thing is the pie cut doesn't need to be smoothened. It's capped with a tailfin.

Plus the four fins on the bobbed fender tops. The front wheel deflector\dive planes are highly evolved.

What do you think?

More of those plastic Rossi reproduction headlights?

The bare metal HAs been let go, but it could be brought back with steel wool and elbow grease.

Then one of those new graphene-infused ceramic protective coatings:
