Hmmmm... I'm gonna be honest most shops won't want to patch that for you but the Cholo shops will. Hell I would patch that myself too.
I've seen either:
A. insert tire plug
B. dismount and patch inside
There was a guy at my old job who patched a hole just like that with a ginormous plug and is still driving on it much later lol

HI,

I was at the lawn mower shop the other day and they had a video running promoting a product called liquitube.

Anybody here run that?

It seems to look very impressive

Andrew

PS - for now I am running a full size spare , carry a plug kit and a compressor.

I guess the owner of this Troller (a Brazilian fiberglass-bodied Wrangler replica) knows it's better to have a spare, even if it's mismatching the bigger all-terrain tyres.

Perhaps...but I think for most people, the spare tire on the back is a matter of looks.

After reading this thread, I decided to swap out the heavy steel spare in our Fit for the extra Insight alloy spare I had in the basement. They're close enough to the same size OD.

He's a fellow econ (cheap but logical guy). Those spares always dry rot before they get used lol

I have seen many other vehicles with the spare hinged outside having the stock one replaced with a space-saving one, in an attempt to make it less attractive for crackheads that steal them.

You're not wrong. Those spares aren't cheap.
