I had no interest in the Model Y assuming it was just a taller Model 3 that cost more, but seeing how it has more cargo capacity and is the smallest Tesla to offer 7 seats, it's on my radar. The CyberTruck is on my radar for 6 seats, off-road capability, and towing capacity. I could afford it, but probably won't.

External box on tow hanger is One option to get cargo space occassionally. I have garden cushion box on myös 4 tie bike rack.

I'd much rather get some European small van, such as a Citroën Berlingo which is still a best-seller in neighboring Argentina and Uruguay. Anyone else's grass is always greener

People must hate the people they put in the 3rd row on most of these. We have a Jeep Commander which has a bigger 3rd row than something like a Y and I've never even folded that row down. Now our Suburban, that's a 3rd row. Of course minivan can even run 2 full size adults back there, I've even been the one back there with my 2 daughters one fully grown, the other 14, for hours on end including a pass over Going to the Sun in Glacier.
Something like a model Y. I just dont get it. If you had 2 kids small enough they would still require carseats, 2 carseats won't fit back there, so then 2 kids out of carseats? But before they are mostly normal size. It's like a 30 day window in the life of a child.

Everyone not in the driver's seat is getting a free ride, and freeriders opinion doesn't matter. They can complain, but they'd have to take a number.

The problem is who gets to drive? I've been stuffed in the back of many a sedan, SUV, Crossover, two door coupe, etc. But I've also had the opportunity to have taken and driven my car instead.

Sometimes it takes humility to sit in the rear of someone else's vehicle when you could have taken yours. Because you can always suggest that everyone else hop into your car.

Even some European and Japanese minivans with 3rd-row fold-flat seats were quite comfortable, not exactly to the same extent of the traditional American minivans with full-size seats all-around. One thing that bothers me is when the 3rd-row seats have the back excessively inclined instead of straight, requiring the seat to be set a little forward and decreasing legroom. I have also seen some small Fiat Strada trucklets with the extended cab and a rear bench seat adapted (they're originally 2-seaters), and surprisingly they were more comfortable than the stock double-cab bodystyle exactly because the back of the seat was more straight.
