Grille for cars, grill for food.

Come to Porto Alegre complaining about emissions related to charcoal-grilling of churrasco, and you'd be called to go back to Tokyo swimming. Not intending to be racist at all, but Brazilians usually mistake every Far-East Asian for a Jap.

Being half-Japanese, I'm fine with that.

Down here, every single street corner has a barbecue grill.

Chicken intestines are my favorite. But pork blood cubes are an interesting distraction.

Are you serious? I haven't seen anybody using chicken intestines not even as sausage casing.

Quite. Nothing goes to waste here. Tails, feet, necks, livers, gizzards, intestines (rubbery, but the taste is good as long as it's cleaned well)... even heads are on sale to those so inclined.

No skin. Just congealed into cubes and cooked that way.

It's not the charcoal that causes the emissions, at least in my experience. It's the people who think the only way to start a fire is to douse it with a pint of so of lighter fluid.

In my country it's more usual to start the fire with ethanol, but once I saw a friend of my dad using a piece of toilet paper soaked on rice oil to start the fire instead.
