Yes.
I know both engines, and with an eo remap, it is possible to improve consumption

Those remaps seem to be quite popular in Spain

I would be quite interested in the results if you do an eco remap of PSA's 1.6 HDI.

I recently switched from the 16v 1.6 HDI to the 8v 1.6 e-HDI and am impressed with the improvement. If it could be remapped to better focus on eco, then it would rock!

Considering that 16-valve engines were hailed as a great evolution around 20 years ago, it does sound quite surprising that PSA took the opposite route with the DV6. IIRC the reason claimed for that move was emissions control.

My idea is not to touch these characteristic (homolgation), but to modify only the mapping point of a daily using.

If it is similar, there should be a feature that allows you to calibrate your readings to better match the car's actual consumption. You enter an "offset" fuel use value manually, or simply tell it how much fuel you used at each fill. After a few tanks, it should be pretty close.
