Hey Telsa, #AppleCar

Tantalizing tweets have revealed some clues of Apple entering the auto(-nomous) industry. Motor Trend has 'outted' sketches and even a pic of some Apple logo emblems on a design exercise/concept. They will be revealing more tomorrow.

It's not really 'unknown', Apple has been working on a new car program, codenamed 'Project Titan'. These reveals are probably the first leaks of their early platform engineering and design cues.

That rear backlit Apple logo tho...

Will we go to the apple store for parts?

Will the genius bar fix the car when it breaks?

How much will the proprietary tool cost that is needed to open the doors?

And the other one to fasten the seat belts?

Will there be a radio or just iTunes because "radio" didn't pay Apple to carry their tech?

Wonder if the tires will be special with apple treads so that when you drive in the snow or sand people know that an apple car was here recently...

Just speculative vision by 'outside' auto/Apple fanbois

Not an official Apple 'Project Titan' leak, just the speculative imagination of ultimate fanbois. How about; 360-degree augmented-reality experience, vehicle & equipment wireless charging, proximity sensing and wearable technologies, Model X-like "Falcon Wing" doors, controllable indirect and ambient lighting, and a full color LED 'screen' that doubles as the rearlight turn signals/brake light/backup light and possible emergency message board.

Tech sources have indicated that the official AppleCar could be finalized by 2019 or 2020.

13 Cool Features of Our Apple Car - Motor Trend

Wonky but insightful roundtable discussion with industrial designers, engineers and tech reporters on the prospective AppleCar 'manifesto'.

"Cheap" aftermarket chargers will void your warranty.

You won't be able to get one without some really annoying accessories, and you won't be able to remove them.

The 24th scale model on the table looks very aerodynamic.

The concept cars always look cool then the product model ends up as a rebadged something or other.

Wireless charging is a stupid idea. You are going to lose up to half of your input power just to air core inductive coupling.

Full screen LEDs will be made by samsung.

And I am guessing that it will be made in China like everything else they make.

Quoth EVTV: 'APPL won't ship product until 2020, Telsa have a 5-year head start and GM have 2 years. Where will they be in 2020?'

Apple's problem is nothing will give a quick return on the amount of cash they are sitting on. They should just step up and address the big issue facing hue-mon-kind today: What's really going on in those voids inside Phobos, one of Mars' moons.

In the year 2020....
GM will have given up on their EV and be building SUV again.
Tesla will be selling toys to the rich.
