Duh!

Wasnt comparing ranger to electric ghia, was comparing battery packs based on incomplete picture of back seat using swag engineering back estimating what the pack was.
15 kwh is 50% more than 10kwh so 75 miles in a volt is an acceptable napkin equation which I indicated

Ranger also goes 40 miles in the flats using a 2011 volt pack. Cd is brick shaped which affects freeway range significantly.

Let's hope you don't need to get to those strut mounts after it's welded back together.

Or ANY of the Prius stuff from the dash forward.

Getting to the dash harness, the HVAC, the HUD, half the engine wiring, looks to be extremely difficult if the front isn't made to be removable, with weather-tight covers under it.

Removable front clip.

I’m working on a way to remove the front clip. Thinking of creating “A-pillar” inserts. That way if I need to get into the deeper repairs, I can remove the windshield and detach the A-pillars. Seems like a lot but I just changed the thermostat in my son’s 2002 Passat and it was a nightmare. Search it on the google. Service position, what a joke. I’ll share pictures of my plan soon.

I don't remember where I saw pictures of a Karmann-Ghia with a removable front clip. But since the body panels are not nearly as stress members as they would be in an unibody, it might not be too hard to turn the front clip into a tilt single-piece for easy access.
