it does not cost anymore for registration as they jacked it up for everyone..it's 4 times the cost of inflation.

the cost was not much more and was less then my dads car(he has a 2013 they charged him 225) mine was 212 the weight fee was 10$

they better give a discount this year like to 130$ even a pass not have to smog test since there is little traffic on the road

Vehicle gender confusion

Ca had 3 different classes of Lic. plates for automobiles.
1x11111 commercial
1xx1111 SUV
1xxx111 car
The commercial plate is required on commercial vehicles or SUVs and cars when used for commercial purposes.

I'm willing to bet you don't have car plates. Especially given the fact that you pay the weight fee that only existed in commercial vehicle class . ( Circa 2000)
Ca will issue a car plate for a pickup provided it has a "camper shell permanently attached" and it is never to tow or be loaded with so much as a bag of groceries. I had a friend at work that castrated his pick up like that, we joked at work that he had a glorified station wagon that seated 2 ( bucket seets) And he would grumble and say that his wife wouldn't let him have the extra fifty bucks a year for registration ,his was '82 C10 1/2 ton 2x4.

I haven't given California a dollar for registration since I moved out of California 20 years ago when I went in the army ,so my registration information is dated and I could lose money on this bet. However I don't see California reducing any inflow of Monies by any means other than making people leave.

FYI: I was always allowed to tow, and periodically remove the camper shell with my non commercial plates on the F250. I just could not haul bulk products, particularly sand /gravel/ packages / building materials. The level of stuff allowed was subject to the patrol officer discretion.

If you have vintage, custom plates you also can use them with the XXX111 , 111XXX , 111111, or XXXXXXX

I have car plates since it's an enclosed cab "permanently attached"

I had a nail in my tire, I ran with for over 200 miles, sometimes the low tire pressure light came on, before I realized it had a nail and got it patched. Now I am thinking it’s time to replace. It’s been a year and a half since patched. Does it make sense to replace just one tire? The other tires are about 3 years old, but still have plenty of tread, probably cuz I inflate to 50 psi. Thanks!

No, it doesn't make sense to replace one tire - especially if you've had no problems since it was patched.

mine has 3 letters as issued by the DMV
8KCCxxx which is issued when there is no open "bed" since the camper is permanently attached

btw it was $212 again
