When I was in high school, I was riding is a school bus when the gas tank fell out onto the highway. That slowed everything down.

Did I mention last time that my mother was the bus driver?

(I had the chore to sweep the bus out every night)

Sorry, I'd have to care.

Good memory though.

Nothing says that you care like taking the time to say you don't.

Switching from EV to hybrid might sound like a step backward, but looking at these pictures of an electric Chery Tiggo2 it does get me wondering why Chery didn't even try a hybrid setup. Considering when the ICE-powered ones assembled in Brazil finally got the option for an automatic transmission it was an outdated 4-speed Aisin shared with the Toyota Etios, makes me wonder how the HSD setup of a Prius c could fare instead.

I wonder what kind of mileage you could get by putting the newest Prius 'guts' in the oldest Prius.
Not that I would want to.
I just notice how cars keep getting larger each year.

Not sure if the current "full-size" Prius drivetrain would be so straightforward to swap into a 1st-generation, but the one out of a Prius c would definitely sound quite tempting to try.

Looking at the entry-level models of Japanese automakers, it's easier to find out how their Western, Korean and more recently Chinese counterparts are growing wider, even though the Japanese are often becoming as longer as them at each new generation.

Is the c more aerodynamic than a Gen 1 Prius?
