I'm back after 10 years. Could it be that long?

Don't even remember what my username was.
Been using some hypermiling techniques with my vehicles ('93 metro / '76 911s / ''67 F100) but recently bought another Metro and thought to check back in here.
There's so much more to absorb now. Lots more techniques and products and good reading. Glad to be back.
ScanGauge II ??,,, I'll take one.

OK, you got my curiosity: what cars were you driving back then?

Probably not 10 years ago though - we opened the doors about 8 and a half years ago now.

Those old 911s were capable of decent fuel economy before they got so wretchedly powerful. Lighter, smaller, less over-the-top.

I wouldn't mind having a 912 - all the chassis goodness but engine parts off the much more affordable VW shelf (for the 912E).

Mine is the lighter and fully galvanized (zero rust) chassis often called "narrow body" (like the 912 model). My old daddy had the next gen 3.0SC engine installed which is said to be the strongest of the air/oil cooled 6cyl boxer engines. more of a garage queen. Never take it out in the rain or if it's too hot and No gravel roads. Is that sick or what?

DANG.

A 2000 Metro with only 46K on the clock, dude. And it looks completely cherry, too.

Mostly. Those bumper covers look like they've suffered some thermonuclear exposure, unless they were gray from the factory. Still, it looks really sharp, very nice ride.

The sky's the limit on that one.

Cherry yeah but we do NOT believe the odometer.
I know those bumpers make the car look like a diamond in a goats butt.
You should see the orig hubcaps.
Interior is beautiful tho.
