The 21 gallon fuel tank has a recess in it for the small sized spare, there is a chunk of foam and a tie down plate that goes with it. The spare would need to be filled with air to use, and the stock jack is a public danger. Altogether German goofy.

I took my spare out along with the the charcoal canister, the blower motor and ventilation hoses. Took out close to 300lbs now (long list), and looking for another couple hundred to remove.

Lucid Air, with a claimed drag coefficient of 0.21

Starting at the linked time, the VP of design at Lucid talking about some ways they reduced drag in cooling and, of course, the air curtains.

The 'vortex induction technology' was touched by a onetime Ecomodder poster graysgarage. Don't know how responsible he was but he said he was working on it when he went to Lucid Air.

Supercar Designer Analyses The BUGATTI BOLIDE!

An interesting collection of features. The skeletonized aeroform. The dimples on the top scoop that inflate at high speed.

The Lucid Air and Tesla Model S Plaid, when depicted in a bar graph comparison, are virtually indistinguishable, geometrically or aerodynamically.

I just found this. I haven't figured out how to translate without using Google, but it is an interesting mix of the usual suspects, really obscure examples and at least two Southern California hot rods.

There was a time (still is a little bit) when I would see that and think "How would I make that out of a VW Beetle".
