I think on the civic it will be a lot harder. My altima used to have a lot of mounting points where I could literally bolt things up. When I bought my current civic(99' 2 door DX) there was nothing to mount to anything for the belly pan.

A couple of nuts welded to the underside of the car with some holes in the underbody can give a lot of opportunity for belly pans and diffusers.

The center of the rear subframe area is the main place I would attach it. Then hook it around the rear bumper with push clips. I'm probably going to have to drill holes on the lower bumper but it will look very clean. Unlike my cardboard grill block haha

Here are my aero mods taken off after I sold the car so you can get an idea what they look like without the car...

Thanks! It was tons of fun to do. The body is rusty as heck but the car doesn't owe me a cent. It's been super reliable and has given me my goal of 50mpg. It also proves you don't have to delete power steering and weight to still get decent mileage.

Gave her the spa treatment today on my lunch. Inspection lof tire rotation. Adjusted rear brakes. Gota love hypermiling, my front and rear brakes haven't changed since I got the car 40k miles ago.

Anyways here's what I'm working with on the rear belly pan.

The center cradle will be a main attachment point and the rear bumper. I can also follow it out to the mudflap. The opposite side of the muffler will be a smaller piece.

If you still have the VX car that you got the motor from, you can see if it has the small factory diffuser, an either use it as a template or expand on it to cover the whole underside at the back.

Yea I snagged it but I didn't even think about checking it while I had it on the lift. Dang.

Maybe I'll try it tomorrow. I also fixed a leaking oil cooler oring and I wana take it up to make sure the leak is stopped.

Well I took it up and the vx diffuser is too different. I'm better off making my own. Still no big deal
