Lincoln, please take my money.

Future Cars: Propelling Lincoln the Right Way with Mustang-Based Coupe

If this comes with a standard, and resembles this...I will be a Lincoln owner. Thoughts?

(Render for Lincoln Mustang (MKM?), article has no real information at all, just speculation on possibilities. The image included is the only render.)

I swear Ive seen a grill like that already on a vehicle on the road.

I thought the next mustang was going to have a 4 or 3 banger eco boost engine making 40 mpg?

The new ecoboost doesn't do much better than the outgoing 6. They are seriously sandbagging the six to drive 4 sales. It would make sense to use the 2.7 and 3.5, but it wouldn't to use different engines than the Mustang. I understand not using the 5.0, but my issue will be if they don't offer a standard. Lincoln has been pretty conservative, so I am rather fearful of it.

They could pull parts from the Escape Hybrid and chase after the Porsche 918.

Holy crap...that is amazing. Lincoln needs a statement like this to stay afloat. Gorgeous looks and I will sign a petition if anyone can find one.

Then Lincoln doesn't need to be kept afloat. "A slightly different flavor of a car you already know" isn't much of a brand, it's a trim level. "A luxury car descended from a sports car" is a good step, but my first thought with these things is usually "Cadillac Cimarron."

Not an untrue statement...having driven a...Zephyr? MKZ? I think it was an MKZ...Lincoln did a pretty nasty job with that car. I liked the Fusion, but a Lincoln it was not.

If properly executed - think Lexus ES, Cadillac Escalade, some of the Audis, or Buick Verano - there's nothing wrong with badge engineering.

Old Tele man, the body lines look exactly like that of the new Camaro with the MKZ grill.

Lincoln could use something like a CTS-V. They don't have anything exciting or unique, just fancy Fords.

Could you get a body kit to make your Mustang look like that?
