Although I didn't delete my side view mirrors in Ron Burgundy, they're pretty small. If you go to Ron's page, there's a pic of one of the side view mirrors next to the stock Insight mirror. Seeing how they're functional but tiny and I drive in busy central Florida traffic, I upgraded my rear view mirror to compensate.
Here's a link to the rear view mirror I use in conjunction with my pod mirrors. I LOVE it! It leaves almost no blind spot, and was super-cheap! It took a bit to get used to the sheer size of it, but I rarely even look at the side view mirrors now.

Do the Volt mirrors fold back? You could fold the passenger mirror back and fasten (Sugru or equiv.) a bullet mirror on the back end. I'm a fan of keeping visibility. I stored my Volvo's back seat headrests since I rarely drive with passengers, and I ALWAYS need to see out the rear...
My plan for the rear wheel skirts is to use super magnets to hold them on, with a second super magnet glued inside the plastic parts of the fender if I need an attachment point there.

I'll try folding both mirrors and see how it does. I don't really use the side mirrors at all since I drive a pretty lonely road. |

Folding the mirrors was worse. I could hear the turbulence. Gm must've done a pretty good job in the wind tunnel. I got my wheel covers installed. Pretty easy actually. I'm going to do a step by step since this could be applied to any vehicle for less than $100 and 2 hours time. Enjoy

It's about time somebody modded a Volt! With a claimed Cd .28, GM didn't get everything, and I think there's room for improvement. The wheel covers look great; you may be able to block some of the lower grill as well, but you'll need a Scangauge to keep an eye on the various coolant temperatures, assuming there are x-gauges for that. For the mirror delete, the base of the Volt mirror looks fairly large, but the nice thing is whatever you fab up can be painted black and no one will know the difference. I used an aluminum piece, but my car is silver:

Nah, I haven't noticed anything with mine. I'm real happy with the purchase since most of those things seem to be in the fifty buck range!
It takes a minute to get used to all the real estate the thing takes up, but you'll immediately fall in love when you see how much visibility it gives you

Too bad on the folding idea. Vman's inside side mirrors look good - they take advantage of the modern gargantuan "A" pillars, and highlight the blind spot perhaps better than regular side mirrors.
Those wheel covers look GREAT! I would still advocate for wheel skirts for the rear wheels; the advancing wheel top PUMPS air into the car's slipstream, adding perhaps 20% to the air disturbed by the car. I don't have quick access to any data on drag reduction, however.
Exactly how did you fasten the wheel cover / pizza pans on? I see a single center fastener...
