Unfortunately, that's the style of vehicle people overwhelmingly seem to want to buy and what marketing departments are pushing people to want to buy.
If automakers slowly introduced incrementally greater rear overhang with each refresh or body in white, sub-0.20 would be a no-brainer. It pencils-out real easy.

I'd rather not calculate how long an SUVs boattail would need to end up to beat a sedan/shooting brakes CDA...

At least the EQS appears to be a hatchback, like the Model S.

That gives it FAR more utility than the otherwise small trunk opening would offer. And more cargo room with folded seats.

(Model 3 should be a hatchback too, but that'd steal sales from the Y.)

These are the aero wheels. Note the 'doughnut' ring within the air blender design of the wheel.

I find it surprising that the rear wheel is exposed.

I just read about the new EQS elsewhere and had to come over here to see the hubbub. I was certain the Cd number would generate some, errr, turbulence!

Mercedes Benz is a singular automaker. The S Class has been a singular achievement for many decades. The really cool thing about both of those is that you can pretty much guarantee that the extraordinary features on these cars will start showing up further down the price list in fairly short order. The ones that work, that is!

This car gives me renewed interest in electric vehicle future events.

I liked the peacock tail on Mercedes' Cd 0.19 Concept IAA from 2015:

Now that's a peacock tail! Functional, too!

(OK, the above image is somewhat ... ~150% ... exaggerated. See thread for more info: 0.19 CD Mercedes 2015 Concept IAA -- tons of active aerodynamics )

Plastidipo each section with a different flip-flop color and you're there. [that's a typo but I like it] You might not think that is practical, but if the tail section had a lid shrouded by the second section one could slide it out as a trunk.

Few more pictures of the car found. The air suspension makes it difficult to estimate things, but we know the wheelbase of the car which is 3210mm.

With that data you can calculate that the wheel diameter is around 760mm that could then be 255/55R19-->763mm.

After this you can measure ground clearance under the car to be around 140mm at least in the picture I looked.

You can also measure the heigths of the tire flaps. In front they are around 45mm height and lowest point is at 100mm. Accuracy of measurement is +-5mm

at rear the flaps are little smaller. Heigth of the flap is 25mm. Accuracy of those measurements I would say is +-7mm more towards the plus side as there is no clear pictures of the flaps alone with wheel specially from rear.

Now remember the car has air suspension and lowers itself at higher speeds so flaps will come even closer to ground.
