Looks great. I like the little box cavity sides too! I think if you put a land speed racing front bumper/air dam on that thing, you'd be consistently besting 35mpg at 100kph, and with some extra extension, 40mpg.

I'm not using it anymore, because have only driven the car a couple of times in the last months. So it is taking up some space in the garage, and I'm thinking of taking it apart and using it for a belly pan. Not sure about that yet, I kinda like it. But it has more effect when used on the Peugeot. |

Sold this one in 2010, when did you bought it. Haha funny to see it is still alive and kicking. Hardcore, someone should have taken care of the rust, because it was very bad.

My ski racks attach with magnets.
You can buy very strong magnets nowadays, i think that it would be a good attachment strategy.
If you add the thinnest bit of rubber under the magnet it will also stop it from sliding and grinding on the paint.
(Have not tried it but my ski racks that appeared to have big 40cm x 40 cm magnet pads that are slightly stronger than fridge magnets held up fine even at 180 kph).

What magnets are you using? Do you have a brand or link?

Suction cups have a lever for parting. Do the magnets have something similar or do you use a plastic wedge and hammer?

My brother in law is an engineer who professionally works with neodymium magnets.
He also plays around with them at home for various purposes. He used to scavenge old hard disk drives for their magnets but now just orders them from Chinese and local web shops; a tenner gets you a wide array of supermagnets.
Two dimesized nickel plated neodymium alloy magnets attract each other so hard that you cannot normally pry them apart, but shifting them sideways does the trick relatively easily.
I found that if I lay one in the palm of my hand and stick the other to the back of my hand their attraction is already enough to keep them in place, even if I shake my hand about - and I do have rather big and thick hands...
Keep them away from kids. Magnets can kill when swallowed, especially when there is more than one involved.
