Sorry, haven't figured out what each binary bit stands for. Some need to be set and some "not set".
I set the 3 fuse bytes, hooked up to RTD Explorer and it works!
Thanks Mora and all who responded!

Controllers for Costa Rica electric car

Hello Paul and friends,

We are to develop small electric cars for Costa Rica with some financing from the CR government. We are VERY interested in developing and producing our own controllers, chargers etc. here. While I could build them from instructions I know just enough about electronics to be dangerous so cannot optimize them for our needs, and I will be much to busy with other technical aspects.

I tried to contact Paul separately, not sure if I was successful. We are looking for knowlegeable people who can work with us to develop these for our needs, with good possibility of having financing to pay wages, and maybe future royalties etc. We are NOT a big well-financed project but are confident we can do it.

Jesse Blenn, Technical Director

So,

I'm still trying to get the 1000A to work.
I have a flashing led, which means something is wrong.. but what..

I've tried to hook up the serial connection, but that seems not to work.. no response.

Does anybody know which values the throttle, current and temperature need to have on atmega pin level? so I can check that?

Or could something else also trigger an error?

I'm sure the atmega works because on power up I can hear the precharge relay switch on and after some time off again.

Thanks

Okay I think I got it..

Took the controller out on the bench and because of that had to use a different throttle pod.. seems now that was the problem. After precharge the led is not flashing anymore..

Getting it back in the car tomorrow

Okay.. problem found.

The first time in the car I haven't hooked up the precharge.. that was the problem.
On the bench I did, so.. apparently this is measured somehow.

Anyway, it's in the car and it runs.. have driven it several miles without problems.
It drastically improved my top speed, acceleration is better, but not as I hoped it would be.
After stressing it some km's something began to smell, but that could be anything.. cables, cells, motor.. or controller.. have to still find that out.

What I want is burning rubber in first gear.. the controller is programmable right? Does anybody know which parameter creates burning rubber?
