A couple quick shots

End caps made from 1/8" ABS sheet. Also note the dent in top cover between the two far capacitor support bolts.

The controller arrived with a 8" long dent 3/16" deep in the top cover centered on two of the bolts supporting the capacitor. I figure during shipping they dropped something heavy on top of the controller. Or the controller landed upside down hard enough on something that the weight of the controller bent the top cover.

The back end cap has cutouts in it for the various data and low voltage connectors. Next steps are to crimp terminals on the power cables then mount the controller in the truck. Unfortunately I'm not getting as much time to work on the controller as I would like. We are moving between houses now and I am painting and doing fix-up on both of them.

Here's where the enclosure came from:

As much as I'd like to blame the post office, I have to acknowledge the possibility that I just did a crappy job making it. haha. I don't own one of those fancy things that show stuff is flat. I eyeball it!

How in the crap did you make those stinking awesome end caps?! I've been killing myself over here trying to think of a way to make them, and you are all... Ya, I'm in the process of moving, and just threw something together. aaahhh!!!

Oh, I better modify the code for the inverted throttle now. I'm glad it's not quite ready. That will take me a couple hours probably. One time I inverted the throttle during testing, 5k at zero, and almost crashed into my neighbor's apple tree. We won't talk about that right now... Let's just say I'm going to be extra careful.

It should be good to 350v, so, feel free to pile it on for the first test run. lol.

The IGBT's are rated to 600V right? is the capacitor the limiting factor here?

No, I was pretending to be jerald. 7-10 business days. It still has a while to go I think.

The cap is also 600v.

I was just saying 350v so as to allow a safety margin.

The cardboard box was smooshed up some also, so I pretty sure it was tossed around by the post office.

The ends caps are actually pretty easy, no special tools or skills required. If anyone is interested I will put together a photo how to.

I would be very grateful to see how you did it. It would be good for the other controller's end caps too. End caps have been the bane of my existence. If an end cap was a human, and it was legal, I'd punch it in the head.
