metal fuel tank Gen2 Prius /North America

Yeah
Most of the Prius Gen2 2004-09 years have a metal style fuel tank with a plastic bladder within. This means that if the fuel tank fails and or if the fuel pump fails you would have to replace the whole unit....

Several online people have commented that 2003-08 Toyota Corolla and Prius C(Aqua) have some shared platform characteristics....

Thanks

Hi texas cotton, thanks for your reply but on mine its plastic, the fuel tank I mean. Im not sure where the pump as such is, it maybe with the level indicator which is accessed from above. Sorry for sporadic replies, I moved house and went on holiday alot

Mpg which I will say is the ongoing day to day average, this includes temporary variables such as high/low wind, cold start mornings (including very flat batteries), races, urban/highway and with a warm winter ambient so it can be considered an all year mean is 102.29. I will achieve more when Ive researched better routing and traffic times to work, I now live further from work and travel 80 miles a day so I think approx 112 is possible with the car as it is

New rear door, as a guess around 3kg but will weigh before it gets glued on. Over the holiday I hope to get that done and the other side. I idealised for 1500g but it is stronger than needed so might go for 5 sheets 200g on the passenger side, or maybe 4 with some 1" pillars. That is more time consuming and I dont have much time off so I think 2.2kg will be it. With stucture I think the weight can be around 40% off compared to a thick main wall, even with a curve to it

It should loose 38kg all together with both doors and maybe 1.5kg of brackets and rubber trim
