How do you reply to that ?

I showed one of the guys at work the AeroCivic and that was his comment.
I can get better mileage from my old junk than what I could get from new Prius, that usually sets average brain of average commenter to panic mode and they decide they did not either hear the answer or that I'm just being an arse, but their brain will not bend enough to accept fact that it is very possible.

I usually mention that I don't have $25,000 kicking around.

I pull their chain and say about 85 mph down hill with a tail wind otherwise its about 55 mph.

What's this local meet you speak of? There are none in my area.
Exactly! I enjoy modding my cars in both ways but the Probe is dedicated to MPG.

The meet is Fridays and Saturdays at the strip mall at Woodward and Normandy.

I photo copy my gas slips and put it on the window of a co-workers Prius.

Ha! That, as my teenage boys would say, is EPIC!

I'm not sure the sheet plastic is going to like highway speeds, but it's a start. Gives me a feel for how a short (300mm/12")boat tail might look.

Looking good, really interested in what kind of results you get from this setup. I'm a little slow on a full boat tail, but this I could do!

I would say, " anyone can buy a Prius, but I can BEAT a Prius "

Alternately, " it's better to pickup dates than a Prius "

Random: Hi, nice car

Aeromodder: Hey beautiful, glad you like it

Random: Can I see what it drives like?

Aeromodder: Depends, do you know how to GLIDE?

Hot chickypoo: Hi, nice car

Aeromodder: Hey beautiful, glad you like it

Hot chickypoo: Can I get a ride?

Aeromodder: Why of course. Behold, my Anal Probe!
Too much?

I parked in a windy area today and the gusts ripped off the top sheet of plastic. I tore the rest off. The box cavity is still there.

If anyone is planning on trying it, use duct tape.

By the way, this is where I parked. Explored the Packard Plant for a few hours with a friend. (The pictured building used to be a grocery store)
