Shouldn't that be 'chant of the ecomolder'?

You can count me as one ready to buy. Paypal and ground shipping to California should make it a cheap and easy transaction. It looks freakin' cool so far!

Well, I'm telling anyone who will listen: the easiest way to do this is a sheet of plastic (ABS?). Since there aren't really any compound curves in this shape, that's the most sensible approach. I'll happily make a pattern people can use to quickly make the same thing I'm spending too much time on...

Working away, sanding, fairing, sanding, fairing...

Spent several hours working on the Kammback today. The sides & tops are smooth, and the finishing work on the trailing edge should be done tomorrow. Remaining: the finishing work on the forward edge, and paint.

I'd take some pics, but the thing still pretty much looks like it did in the last photos I posted.

Cool I am happy you are still making progress, can't wait to see it under some paint. I believe it is actually going to look like it came that way, all your mods look so factory.

Holy moly! No pressure. Let me diffuse some of the expectations: it's not going to be perfect!

Spent some time working on the leading edges this evening. Got them nicely trimmed and started on the finishing work.

I did make one fairly big mistake overall: When I initially trimmed the edges, it opened up the cardboard sandwich to the elements. With the amount of rain we've had, the cardboard has wicked in some moisture. The result is a couple of spots are noticeably softer. The corrugation has gone mushy.

Not that this thing was ever going to be terribly strong - it would not survive a goat walking on it.

People: just use a piece of ABS when you make yours!

Yes, though it was one of my first tests, so it's not as rigorous as some of the later ones (not a proper A-B-A comparison).

No pressure from me just saying I like your mods look clean.

ABS sounds easier/cheaper but fiberglass painted would look a lot better. I am glad you went fiberglass direction, helps me get over my fear of it.

Thanks for posting this would not have known otherwise about doing something like this.

I see I'm proving my "SLOW" user title. It's been over a month since I started on this! Crud.

Anyway, first primer coat tomorrow. Yay, milestones.
