Is it Photoshop?
No, it's 1/25th scale plastic. Clues abound, the reflection of the front bumper on the ground, the headlights, the vent windows...

Those three posts would fit well in the VW Finally... thread.

The estimated price is incredible, would make for a nice barn find.

In January of 1949, Heinz Nordoff was appointed Managing Director of Volkswagen. One of his first directives was to have Cabriolet versions of the Volkswagen Beetle constructed for production consideration. Hebmüller was assigned the task of building a two-seater “Roadster” version: Karmann was instructed to build a true four passenger Cabriolet.

The Bugster is a retractable hardtop. You can tell by the cut-lines. There have been a number of Hebmuller knock-offs. Which are rare because the factory burnt down.

BGW made fiberglass kits that turn any Beetle into a two-seat convertible.

edit:
Another Rob3rt Design:

So does the 1968 Porsche Targa glass fit that well? This is also a retractable hardtop.

I watched a Youtube video about Art Deco cars year-by-year in the 1930s and this Alfa, in the thin-fender era, predates the Chrysler Airflow by three years.

This semi-pontoon style became more popular over the next few years.

1968 Howmet TX: a Gas Turbine-powered racer in action at Imola circuit!

Built in 1968 it was powered by a mid-mounted, two-stage gas turbine engine from Continental Aviation which had originally been developed for use in military helicopters. It was also the first turbine-powered car to win a race (two, to be precise).
