Those old Gols formerly used by Brastemp technical assistance bring me back memories...

For those unfamiliar with the Brastemp brand, it's currently a division of the Whirlpool company.

Arkham Knight Batmobile Lamborghini Hybrid | HYPEBEAST

A video in the link will have you scratching your head.

EDIT-1
Could the technology used in the non-rotating wheel covers be adapted into an aerodynamic design?

What I'm thinking is, baby moon like flush and flat wheel covers that do not spin would act like wheel skirts. And without the disadvantageous problems encountered at the front wheels during turns.

Any ideas on how this may work?

Lazy Susan style turntable bearings?

Those tiny outrigger arms must stabilize the wheel cover, prevent it from rotating from gyroscopic forces. Funny, I don't see those arms in the still picture, they must have added them later on.

EDIT-2

The arms are on the rear wheels only, some views looks like a flat plate, other views like an adjustable rod.

I'd like some opinions on the types and sizes of the vortexes generated by this design.

That thing is huge. It probably has twice the A and twice the Cd of the donor car. And all the greebling qualifies it for the thread.

I doubt that a smooth moon disk would benefit from not rotating. The tread is acting like a paddle wheel in the wheelhouse and there is air squirting out both sides of the contact patch. There's your problem.

Now there's a proper Batmobile! Notice the very acute angled edges are all in the equator. The very obtuse angles on the top respect the 12° trailing angle. I think it could be good, rather than not bad.

________

Both of them have real problems with useable space and ingress/egress that make them totally impractical.

Cool. What do you think of the Roy Rogers Tribute Caddy?

How about none?

The rise in the beltline suggests a downward rolling vortex below the edge, but it also suggests downforce. The rear has a sharp, 'tearing edge'. The pyramidal roof is logical for the single occupant.

No vortexes from mirrors, or even cutlines. A highly polished surface for minimal skin drag.

Ground clearance is minimal, with good approach and departure angles.

I'm going to have to go ahead and declare it off-topic for the thread.

Oops, it's your thread; sorry.
