I pick the UN-aer thread because this goes counter to prevailing wisdom: Hug the ground and add wings for downforce. But I'm reminded of Luigi Colani's 'water strider' body that he raced at Bonneville.

justacarguy.blogspot.com/.../the-sebring-plus-only-car-i-can-think.html
The high stagnation point will cause a lot of air underneath the body, but a properly designed difusser would accelerate the flow and create an inverted wing situation.

Great little 4x4! Aerodynamics are less important for these types of vehicles, if they are actually used for rough offroad work Note to the manufacturers: don't make these utility vehicles too comfortable for the open road.

Even though it's not what I would deem comfortable, at least the steering wheel on this new generation of the Jimny don't rub on my knees as the previous one does.

In my brother's first-gen Samurai, riding shotgun, the dashboard rubs on my knees.

Anything Toyota rubs my knees unless someone has thoughtfully repositioned the seat mounts. When looking at new cars, first thing I do is sit in them, all seats, which disqualifies a majority. Annoys the salesperson when I sit down wiggle a bit then say Nope, not this one. And yes I move the seat first because invariably I am following a short person.

Riding shotgun is not so bad for me in a previous-generation Jimny. I don't remember when was the last time I got into a Samurai.
