Plus, you should probably get $50-100 for recycling/core refund.

I figured $64 to $160 depending on if I sell them by the pound or get the $20 per battery core charge back, that is why I'm always a little shocked when people talk about how these batteries are going to all end up in the land fill! I'm sorry but I have $100's of battery cores sitting in my parents shed, I'm not letting anyone take those to the land fill! and that core value is their value when they are 100% useless for anything else!

Ahh! Yeah. I didn't know what your voltage was. $20 a core? That's gone up. Last time I turned a battery in, I got a $10 core charge.

Well the electric motor company lead didn't pan out. They deal pretty much exclusively in ac industrial motors. So I'm back to the drawing board looking for a motor to start the project. I'm keeping my eye on ebay and cragislist but I guess I need to find some forklift service centers near home and talk with them.

I hear what many of you are saying in regards to lithium, but I think for this project its largely a what can be done with what I've got, and I don't have the cash for those batteries up front.
