Question is: Purchase from Russia and fund its war? Or boycott Russia, limiting supply on the market, driving the price up, so whatever Russia does sell, it sells for much more?

Russia could either sell for much more, or for less to other countries where some cheaper oil would be welcome. For instance just remember ISIS makes a profit from oil sales at the black market too.

Rising gas prices make the price of everything else go up, because the cost to deliver goes up. So it will effect your wallet too.

Only a very small percent of people benefit from premium fuel. So going by regular fuel prices is perfectly normal.

My cars don't run better or get better mileage with anything over 83 octane.

What’s funny is no one bats an eye when the per barrel is over $100 but many of the “producers “ are still on contract for the prices from 3-6 months ago,

The oil casino is completely divorced and reactionary to current events while the suppliers are paid on contract fixed amounts over a period of time.

Your 2008 Tahoe Hybrid is designed to use 87 octane. You chose to pay more for Premium. That is fine but you said gas was $6-$7 a gallon in LA not premium. The VAST majority of cars run on 87 octane and even a lot of the new turbo engines will run on it at lower power.

Even Premium can still be found in LA for less that $6 a gallon.

it gets less on the highway 18.5/18.5(if it's windy it's a bit less obviously) instead of 18.5/23-24 with 91 and funky things happen with AFM (hyper cycles v4-v8) with 87

Did your mileage drop after disabling the v4 mode? I notice epa says you should be getting 21mpg average. My Sequoia gets around 17-18 and I haven't done anything besides taller and skinnier tires. Although nevermind i see you probably have insane traffic and ours isn't that bad.
