ScanGauge II fuel economy gauge now available directly from EcoModder

Finally decided to order one.

Cars been paid off for a few months now, and there's just no excuse not to get started making my car more fuel efficient. Plus today on my way to work, I started wondering if there is a more ideal MPH I could be going, fuel-wise. I know 60mph is better than 80mph, at least for trips in the mountains, but that's a given.

Also, my MPH gauge is apparently way off, like around 5 mph shy of what speed I'm actually going, according to those radars you see here and there that advertise your speed. Having an accurate MPH gauge is also a nice bonus.

It's sort of like having a weight scale at home. I lost 40 lbs (not just for fuel efficiency) since last summer, and what helped keep me going is checking my weight daily and seeing it gradually go down. This gauge works the same away, albeit, a bit more expensively up front.

I just ordered the UG for my GF b-day. ( she is almost a w*fe because we have lived in the same house for 5 years.) here's the funny part.... she lost her job, going back to school, and so money is tight around here. Her school and home is about 70 miles round trip and she drives an 06 charger R/T (5.7 v8) I refuse to let her drive anymore because she starts to break about 10 feet before stops signs then almost floors it after. It gives me a hart attack. I am praying this will help her save money thus put money back into her schooling.

Side note. any one know of any scholarships that are not well known?

Any idea about the Scan gauge II could fit into my car. I miss the instant mpg in my OBD panel

Sorry, I'm not sure if your car's computer is "OBD-II" compatible. Is there a forum for your particular car model? That might be one place to find out... or ask at the dealership.
